Heavy-duty reciprocating pumps designed for the drilling industry

News

Exploration drilling companies are continually looking for ways to reduce costs and increase productivity specifically with their pumping equipment. In the drilling industry where reliability is priority, pumps need to be heavy duty with exceptional performance for use drilling rigs, both diamond and reverse circulation.

With that in mind, FMC Technologies have built an impressive range of reciprocating pumps specifically designed for the drilling industry providing outstanding performance and high efficiency since in 1884. Their high pressure piston and plunger reciprocation pumps range are built for heavy duty applications for major oil fields, drilling exploration and the oil and gas industry used on onshore plants and offshore platforms.

FMC Technologies line of piston pumps range from 3 to 450 HP, and reach pressures to 3,000 psi (207 bar) and flows to 905 gpm (3,168 lpm). The plunger pump product range can be customised to operate at pressures in excess of 10,000 psi (690 bar), flows up to 1,594 gpm (6,034 lpm), and temperatures to 400 F (204 C). Subject to the application, the pump's fluid ends can be made in carbon steel, ductile iron, duplex stainless steel, aluminium bronze, and other high end materials to suit the end user’s needs. While utilising the latest in high-pressure fluid pumping technology, the pumps also reduce pulsations with its range of 2, 3, 4, and 5 cylinders models. FMC Piston and Plunger Pumps have been manufactured with oversize bearings and heavy-duty components to deliver years of operational life for heavy duty applications.

Dynapumps have worked in partnership with FMC Technologies since 1981 and have access to their complete range of reciprocating pumps and spare parts. Dynapumps are committed to supporting the drilling market by keeping all stock on hand in our warehouses Australia-wide. Dynapumps can also supply fabricated assemblies complete with motor, drive arrangement and all accessories such as relief valves, pulsation dampeners, pressure gauges and instrumentation. For the lifetime of the product, Dynapumps offer ongoing professional advice and service capabilities with installation, commissioning, testing and maintenance from our on-site technician team.
