Dynavac releases its New Generation of VCX Claw Pumps

We are excited to present our ‘New Generation’ of Dynavac VCX Claw Pumps for oil-free vacuum and air/ gas compressor applications. Our manufacturing team has completely re-designed the VCX range resulting in extended longevity and significantly reduced noise levels. Maintenance has been even further reduced. The previous energy saving operating efficiency continues to be of significant benefit to our customers.

The latest range comprises 8 models, ranging from 60 to 1000 m3/ h. Vacuum is achievable down to -95 kPa (g) and delivery pressure of up to 2.2 bar.

Featuring, dry running pump chamber, long life, minimal maintenance, contamination-free pumped gas media and low cost of ownership

The latest VCX Series Range comprises an oil-free [dry] and contact-less pumping chamber, with 2 rotors driven by a remote gearbox. The pumping chamber requires no lubrication and its rotors are non-wearing. The gas being pumped is discharged from the pump chamber uncontaminated by lubricating oil. The need to trap and filter oil from the discharge is completely eliminated along with related servicing. In cases of pond aeration and breathing apparatus, the pristine gas leaving the VCX Claw pump is ready for use with no additional treatment or filtering required. All shaft bearings and gears are now oil-flooded, eliminating the need for a routine greasing schedule.

The latest VCX Claw Pumps are compactly configured with two integrated silencers, minimizing noise and site footprint. To save further energy, the latest VCX Claw pumps were designed for use with optional Variable Speed Drives, enabling customer to choose to operate at the most efficient speed for the application, or at up to 60Hz speed if higher speeds are required.

New, easy to remove Claws

For routine inspection and cleaning, all our new models now feature easily removed claws. The stator/end cover is easily removed, without having to release out-rigger bearings or timing gears.

Larger range up to 1000 m3/h

The latest VCX range offers 8 standard models with pumping speeds of 60, 100, 150, 250, 300, 400, 500 and 1000 m3/h

Reduced maintenance means lower operating costs

Apart from routine visual and audible checking, maintenance is almost a thing of the past. Replacement of gearbox oil, is the only service requirement on the latest VCX range. Oil changes are only necessary every 20,000 running hours. Furthermore our largest model requires only 2 litres of oil.

  1. Oil sealed pumps require constant monitoring of exhaust filters and replacement generally once per year.
  2. On ‘cost of ownership’ basis, additional purchase price of claw pumps is paid back after the
  3. First year, and annual savings continue for the life of the pump.Oil sealed pumps need 6 monthly oil changes [5-15 litres depending on model]
